Monday 05/08, we returned to the Snohomish Valley viewpoint, with students Bin Li, Karen Barkley and Lee Henrickson. I continued working on Snohomish Valley: No Trespassing, a piece that was begun last year.

The viewpoint is also a very peaceful and quiet spot, and invites contemplation. This was in contrast to last Saturdays location, Commodore Park, across from the Ballard Locks. There hundreds of tourists disembark from buses, and often treat us as if we are props in their fantasies of the Pacific Northwest. Bin Li was painting and a tourist that was filming him on her video camera kept yelling "Action! Action!"
