Another session at Bothell Landing. The weather is variable but nice. There is an eleven year old's birthday party happening right next to us, only slightly marring the pastoral mood.

Update: After Bin and I finished lunch the adults at the birthday party started crowding and socializing... right in front of my scene! I waited, hoping they'd move, but they never did. They seemed oblivious to what I was trying to do, despite the fact that they had cooed over my painting and said the obligatory "my grandmother was an artist." Finally we just decided to leave and return the next day.

The petty, mundane frustrations of having a dialogue with nature.
